MOTHER'S DAY 2008

We started Mother's Day by greeting my mother-in-law over the phone. After getting ready, I pinned my mom her corsage before heading out for a brunch at the new Shilo Inn Restaurant. It was a bit cool when we headed out, but the sun was shining to all of the mothers. After our brunch, I received a phone call from my step daughter as well, which she hasn't missed since 2003.

WORKING ON THE MUSTANG

Well, Mark got few of his parts to repair/renew the parts to our '67 Mustang. As you can see the worn out parts of this car. I told Mark, " What if we have the equipments like the CSI so we can investigate where did this car came through before we got it since it is older than us?" If this car could talk..... I took picture of the big spring that almost caught Mark's leg last Saturday evening. I was nervous...so our little friends and I stayed with him most of the time after that. Then I decided to have some fun with the parts. In one of the pictures, I ask Mark to receive one of the wrenches for the picture, but look at his eyes....it is sarcastic! Hahaha! I told him, I don't want my hands to be greasy!

SABBATH AFTERNOON

One Sabbath afternoon, I decided to show the Austin Capitol to a family from my province, Pangasinan. Inside were the corridors where our present president walked through when he was the governor of Texas.

A Hike at the Lake

Mark and I had a weekday off so we decided to enjoy a hike. We brought Oreo and Cookie, because Lucy and tigger wouldn't go! Just Kidding! Oreo has not gone in while and this is Cookie's first hike. At one point we had lost our trail, but eventually we found it. Instead hiking through tall evergreens, we walk throug old cypress and juniper with cacti everywhere. We had to stop Oreo from marking his territory to a Cactus...if you know what I mean. The pups did not complain during the long hike. Then after that we enjoyed the scenery at the lake together with a light lunch. Oreo and Cookie enjoyed their Chicken Jerky sent by my sister, Ardie. After the hike we heade home and mowed our grass. While the sun was still up, we went to the post to register our classic car ('67 Mustang Coupe) to have it's own military decal. This is Mark's new baby. this car is an eye catcher, we always get a comment everytime we drive out. We finished our day with an authentic mexican food at Tequiras.

Anna is with us this Christmas time. We took her to San Antonio to see the lights and the history. We walked and rested, then walked again, until our legs could not go for another step. We stayed in our timeshare, where it was close to the Riverwalk for 2 nights. We also experience the ride on the riverboat. There are a lot of interesting information about San Antonio and the Alamo.
