Longaberger Basket
I brought lunch to Mark one of the days this week. After eating, he drove me around and it so happen that we saw a flock of cars parked in one of the gyms. Little did we know that the whole week was a basketfest in Ft. Hood, TX, courtesy by the Longaberger Company, a tribute to the military and their families. So I scheduled myself to make me a basket last Friday. Before I started, I had my lid custom made with my name and Mark's unit insignia and the logo on his barrette in honor of his service to the U. S. Army. Then after making my patriotic basket, I had one of the Longaberger couple sign the basket.

We all went to spend a night in San Antonio. We cannot forget to visit the Alamo the heart of San Antonio. There is no skyscrapper built around the Alamo that can cast a shadow either from the east or the west. Mark saw one of the first names (James McGee) among the heroes that sacrificed their lives for the Republic of Texas. Maybe he was a relative.....Mark and I walked through the Alamo, but Papa and Mama stayed out under the tree...they did not want to walk far. After that we checked in to our Timeshare that just opened last May. We helped Papa and Mama settle with their playing cards, then off we (Mark and I) went to the Riverwalk. It was nice to be able to hold hands and share the afternoon with a love one. Mark showed me this little waterfall where he used to walk by way back in 1990 and yes it's still there. After our riverboat ride, we headed back to our place and rested out feet. Papa and Mama had to call the night, but as for us, we went down to the pool area and enjoyed a little RR.

A 3D view of an old hospital, but now a hotel along the Riverwalk.

Car Show in Killeen
We went to this minute car show in town. There were classic and muscle cars. Mark looked through the muscle cars and I was after the old classic cars.
A corvette with paint details....

Mark showed Papa how the sides of the hood come up.

"Don't cry boo, you won some trophies....now may I drive this car?

'love this car, 1932 Ford Classic...it's as old as my parents!

Tickle me Oreo
Mark spent time with Oreo and Tigger during his search of his camelback gadjets. Of course Lucy was in her own world on her perch. The next day, we went to Target to window shop, but we found this moose costume for Oreo for the Holloween. I would say he is a "weiner moose.""

Lounging at the Patio
We were waiting for the pizza to be cooked from Papa Murphy's. In the meantime, we took some pictures. Oreo had to have one in most of the events around.
